HEASARC Archive |
The Chandra observation of Cep B and Cep OB3b was obtained on 2003 March 11.51-11.88 with the ACIS camera. Only results from the imaging array (ACIS-I) covering about 17' x 17' on the sky are considered here. The aim point of the array was 22 56 49.4 +62 39 55.6 (J2000.0 RA and Dec), and the satellite roll angle was 7.9 degrees. The total net exposure time was 30 ksec, with no background flaring or data losses.

Source_Number
A running X-ray source number in order of increasing
J2000.0 Right Ascension.
Alt_Name
An alternative name for the catalogued X-ray source based
on the '[GFT2006]' prefix (for Getman, Feigelson and Townsley 2006) and
the source number, as recommended by the CDS Dictionary of Nomenclature of
Celestial Objects.
Name
The preferred IAU source designation for the X-ray source using the
'CXOCepB' prefix registered with the CDS Dictionary of Nomenclature of
Celestial Objects, and the truncated J2000.0 coordinates
(JHHMMSS.ss+DDMMSS.s).
RA
The Right Ascension of the X-ray source in the selected equinox. This was
given in J2000.0 decimal degree coordinates to a precision of 10-6 degrees
in the original table. An astrometric correction of +0.13" in RA was applied
to the original Chandra positions in order to bring them into the
2MASS/Hipparcos reference frame.
Dec
The Declination of the X-ray source in the selected equinox. This was given
in J2000.0 decimal degree coordinates to a precision of 10-6 degrees in the
original table. An astrometric correction of -0.14" in Dec was applied to the
original Chandra positions in order to bring them into the 2MASS/Hipparcos
reference frame.

PSF_Fraction
The fraction of the point-spread function (PSF) at the
fiducial energy of 1.497 keV enclosed within the extraction area for the
X-ray source. Note that a reduced PSF fraction (significantly below 90%)
