GLXSDSSQS2 - GALEX/SDSS z=0.5-1.5 QSO Candidates Catalog |
HEASARC Archive |
This paper is based on archival data from the Galaxy Evolution Explorer (GALEX) which is operated for NASA by the California Institute of Technology under NASA contract NAS5-98034, and on data from the SDSS.
A Catalog of 19,100 Quasi-stellar Object Candidates with Redshift 0.5-1.5 Hutchings, J.B., Bianchi, L. <Astron. J., 140, 1987-1994 (2010)> =2010AJ....140.1987H
Name
The name of the candidate QSO using the prefix '[HB2010b] GALEX' for
Hutchings and Bianchi 2010b GALEX source and the J2000.0 equatorial position,
e.g., '[HB2010b] GALEX J000010.7-100556'. This naming convention was not
present in the original table but was created by the HEASARC using the
standard CDS Dictionary of Nomenclature of Celestial Objects naming
conventions. It should hence be regarded as unofficial until (and if) it is
formally adopted.
RA
The Right Ascension of the candidate QSO in the selected equinox. This was
given in J2000 decimal degrees to a precision of 10-7 degrees in the
original table. The coordinates given are those of the SDSS source.
Dec
The Declination of the candidate QSO in the selected equinox. This was given
in J2000 decimal degrees to a precision of 10-7 degrees in the original
table. The coordinates given are those of the SDSS source.
LII
The Galactic Longitude of the candidate QSO.
BII
The Galactic Latitude of the candidate QSO.
Fmag
The GALEX calibrated magnitude of the object, in units of AB magnitude for
the far-UV (FUV) photometric band (f band) from 1344 - 1786 Angstroms (A).
The effective wavelength of the FUV channel is 1538.6 Angstroms (Bianchi et
al. 2009, AJ, 137, 3761).
Fmag_Error
The uncertainty in the FUV-band magnitude of the object.
Nmag
The GALEX calibrated magnitude of the object, in units of AB magnitude for
the near-UV (NUV) photometric band (n band) from 1771 - 2831 A. The effective
wavelength of the NUV channel is 2315.7 Angstroms (Bianchi et al. 2009, AJ,
137, 3761).
Nmag_Error
The uncertainty in the NUV-band magnitude of the object.
Umag
The SDSS data release 7 (DR7) u-band AB magnitude of the matching SDSS source
to the GALEX source.
Umag_Error
The uncertainty in the u-band AB magnitude of the matching SDSS source to the
GALEX source.
Gmag
The SDSS data release 7 (DR7) g-band AB magnitude of the matching SDSS source
to the GALEX source.
Gmag_Error
The uncertainty in the g-band AB magnitude of the matching SDSS source to the
GALEX source.
Rmag
The SDSS data release 7 (DR7) r-band AB magnitude of the matching SDSS source
to the GALEX source.
Rmag_Error
The uncertainty in the r-band AB magnitude of the matching SDSS source to the
GALEX source.
Imag
The SDSS data release 7 (DR7) i-band AB magnitude of the matching SDSS source
to the GALEX source.
Imag_Error
The uncertainty in the i-band AB magnitude of the matching SDSS source to the
GALEX source.
Zmag
The SDSS data release 7 (DR7) z-band AB magnitude of the matching SDSS source
to the GALEX source.
Zmag_Error
The uncertainty in the z-band AB magnitude of the matching SDSS source to the
GALEX source.
Reddening
The local foreground extinction (E(B-V)) value in the direction of the
object, based on the Schlegel et al. (1998, ApJ, 500, 525) maps.
