HEASARC Archive |
The first galactic plane survey at 8.35 and 14.35 GHz. Langston G., Minter A., D'Addario L., Eberhardt K., Koski K., Zuber J. <Astron. J. 119, 2801 (2000)> =2000AJ....119.2801L
Name
The GPA source designation, using the recommended prefix and a
numerical string based on the source's galactic coordinates (if detected
at 8.35 GHz, the position at this frequency is used, else the position at
14.35 GHz is used). An alternative prefix of [LMD2000b] can also be used
instead of GPA for these sources.
RA
The Right Ascension of the peak position of the radio source brightness
for the selected equinox. In the original published catalog, RAs were
given for the J2000.0 equinox and with a precision of 0.1 seconds. If the
source was detected at 8.35 GHz, the position at this frequency is used, else
the position at 14.35 GHz is used.
Dec
The Declination of the peak position of the radio source brightness
for the selected equinox. In the original published catalog, declinations were
given for the J2000.0 equinox and with a precision of 1 arcsecond. If the
source was detected at 8.35 GHz, the position at this frequency is used, else
the position at 14.35 GHz is used.
LII
The Galactic Longitude of the radio source.
BII
The Galactic Latitude of the radio source.
RA_2_cm
The Right Ascension at 14.35 GHz (2.1 cm) of the peak position of
the radio source brightness for the J2000.0 equinox. In the original
published catalog, RAs were given for the J2000.0 equinox and with a
precision of 0.1 seconds.
Dec_2_cm
The Declination at 14.35 GHz (2.1 cm) of the peak position of
the radio source brightness for the J2000.0 equinox. In the original
published catalog, declinations were given for the J2000.0 equinox and
with a precision of 1 arcsecond.
Flux_2_cm
The peak flux density, in mJy, of the radio source at 14.35
GHz (2.1 cm).
Int_Flux_2_cm
The integrated flux density, in mJy, of the radio source
at 14.35 GHz (2.1 cm).
Major_Axis_2_cm
The major axis of the deconvolved radio source at 14.35
GHz (2.1 cm), in arcminutes.
Minor_Axis_2_cm
The minor axis of the deconvolved radio source at 14.35
GHz (2.1 cm), in arcminutes.
Position_Angle_2_cm
The position angle of the deconvolved radio source
at 14.35 GHz (2.1 cm), in degrees.
Flux_3p6_cm
The peak flux density, in mJy, of the radio source at 8.35
GHz (3.6 cm).
Int_Flux_3p6_cm
The integrated flux density, in mJy, of the radio source
at 8.35 GHz (3.6 cm).
Major_Axis_3p6_cm
The major axis of the deconvolved radio source at 8.35
GHz (3.6 cm), in arcminutes.
Minor_Axis_3p6_cm
The minor axis of the deconvolved radio source at 8.35
GHz (3.6 cm), in arcminutes.
Position_Angle_3p6_cm
The position angle of the deconvolved radio source
at 8.35 GHz (3.6 cm), in degrees.
Spectral_Index
The spectral index SI of the radio source, given for sources
detected at both frequencies f, defined by the relation S ~ f**SI, and
based on the total flux density of the source.
Alt_Name
A commonly used alternative name for the source.
