Sequence_Number
A sequential catalog entry number. Sources can be referred
to using this number and the recommended prefix of [BBB2004b]: e.g., the source
with a sequence number of 1 is `[BBB2004b] 1'.
Name
The standard designation for the source. Sources discovered by INTEGRAL
have been given names using the IGR prefix.
RA
The Right Ascension of the high-energy source in the selected equinox.
This was given in J2000.0 coordinates and to a precision of 0.001 degrees in
the original table.
Dec
The Declination of the high-energy source in the selected equinox.
This was given in J2000.0 coordinates and to a precision of 0.001 degrees in
the original table.
LII
The Galactic Longitude of the high-energy source.
BII
The Galactic Latitude of the high-energy source.
Limit_SB_Count_Rate
A '<' value for this parameter indicated that the
quoted 20 - 40 keV count rate is a 2-sigma upper limit. Count rates derived
from low-significance (< 6 sigma) detections are quoted as 2-sigma upper
limits, notice.
SB_Count_Rate
The count rate (`flux') in the 20 - 40 keV energy band,
in counts per second (cps). This can be converted to flux using the conversion
factor 99 cps = 1 Crab in this band.
SB_Count_Rate_Error
The RMS uncertainty in the 20 - 40 keV count rate, in
cps.
Limit_HB_Count_Rate
A '<' value for this parameter indicated that the
quoted 40 - 100 keV count rate is a 2-sigma upper limit. Count rates derived
from low-significance (< 6 sigma) detections are quoted as 2-sigma upper
limits, notice.
HB_Count_Rate
The count rate (`flux') in the 40 - 100 keV energy band, in
counts per second (cps). This can be converted to flux using the conversion
factor 68 cps = 1 Crab in this band.
HB_Count_Rate_Error
The RMS uncertainty in the 40 - 100 keV count rate, in
cps.
Significance
The detection significance for the high-energy source in
the primary detection band of 30 - 50 keV, or in the 20 - 40 keV band if
the value of the significance_flag parameter is set to 'S'.
Significance_Flag
This flag parameter is set to 'S' to indicate that the
significance quoted is for the 20 - 40 keV band rather than for the primary
detection band of 30 - 50 keV.
Exposure
The on-source exposure time, in kiloseconds (ksec), adjusted for
off-axis vignetting effects.
Source_Type
The astrophysical type of the high-energy source. The
following abbreviations are used:
A = atoll source AGN = active galactic nucleus B = burster (neutron star) BHC = black hole candidate Cluster = cluster of galaxies CV = cataclysmic variable D = dipping source G = globular cluster X-ray source HMXB = high-mass X-ray binary LMXB = low-mass X-ray binary PSR = radio pulsar PWN = pulsar wind nebula SGR = soft gamma repeater Sy1 = Seyfert 1 galaxy Sy2 = Seyfert 2 galaxy SNR = supernova remnant T = transient U = ultrasoft source XP = X-ray pulsar Z = Z-type source (neutron stars) ? = unknown type
Class
The HEASARC Browse object classification, based on the value of the
source_type parameter (the first part only).
