IRAM30MLOG - IRAM 30-m Single-Dish Telescope Observation Log |
HEASARC Archive |
IRAM operates two observatories at millimeter wavelengths which are open to the international astronomical community: the 30-m single-dish telescope on Pico Veleta (2850 m), Spain, and the six-antenna interferometer on the Plateau de Bure (2550 m) in France. Both sites are at high altitude to reduce the absorption by water vapor. The observatories are supported by the IRAM offices and laboratories in Granada and Grenoble.
The observation log included here concerns the 30-m single-dish telescope, and summarizes the observations made there since September 30, 2009.
The observation log for the the six-antenna interferometer on the Plateau de Bure in France is also available as the HEASARC database table IRAMPDBLOG, and the observation log for NOEMA (the NOrthern Extended Millimeter Array), the successor to the Plateau de Bure observatory, is available as the HEASARC database table IRAMNOELOG.
For more information on IRAM, see the IRAM home page.
IRAM Observation Logs (Plateau de Bure Interferometer and 30-m telescope) Dan M., Neri R., Sievers A. <IRAM Newsletters (1991-2020)>
Name
The source designation as given in the observing program.
RA
The Right Ascension of the observed source in the selected equinox. This was
given in J2000 coordinates and to a precision of 0.01 seconds of time in the
CDS table upon which this Browse table is based.
Dec
The Declination of the observed source in the selected equinox. This was
given in J2000 coordinates and to a precision of 0.1 arcseconds in the CDS
table upon which this Browse table is based.
LII
The Galactic Longitude of the observed source.
BII
The Galactic Latitude of the observed source.
Time
The start time and date of the observation in UTC.
End_Time
The end time and date of the observation in UTC.
Scan_Number
The scan number of the observation on the day corresponding to the start
time. The internal IRAM identifier of the observation ncsID is of the form
Date.scan, e.g., the observation with scan number 2 on 2009 October 01 has
ncsID = 2009-10-01.0002.
Observation_Mode
The observation mode used. The various observation modes are as follows:
* VLBI * onOff (taking data on and off source in quick succession) * onTheFlyMap * pointing * track * calibrate * focus * tip (a calibration to measure the opacity)
Program_Code
The identification code of the IRAM 30-m single-dish telescope program.
Tau_225_GHz_Zenith
The zenith optical depth tau at a frequency of 225 GHz from the tipping
taumeter.
Receiver_Band_Name
The short name of the receiver (band) used for the observation, e.g., E090
for the EMIR band E0 at 90 GHz, HERA 1, MAMBO2, etc.
Spectral_Line
The name of the spectral line observed, e.g., '12CO(1-0)', etc. If the
observation was not of a spectral line, this field contains the observing
frequency, in MHz, e.g., '212500'.
Spectral_Frequency
The observing frequency used, in GHz.
PI_Name
The name of the Principal Investigator under whose program the observation
was carried out.
