XMMABSTVIEW - XMM-Newton Proposal Abstracts

Overview

This database table contains a subset of the information from the XMMAO database table. It is used simply as a convenient method of displaying the abstracts for the XMM-Newton targets when linked from XMMMASTER.

Provenance

This database table was last updated by the HEASARC in December 2023 to include the AO-23 proposals.

Parameters

PNo
The proposal number corresponding to the target. This field is left blank for calibration targets.

Target_ID
The unique target identifier comprised of the proposal number concatenated with a two-digit target number corresponding to the target in the specified proposal. This field is only present for targets from AO-2 onwards.

Title
The title of the proposal associated with the target. Note that some titles are missing for proposals in AO-1 through AO-4.

Abstract
The abstract of the proposal associated with the target. Note that some abstracts are missing for proposals in AO-1 and AO-2.
