MULTIBAND OBSERVATION OF A TEV BLAZAR 1ES2344+514

ABSTRACT

We propose to observe the BL Lac object 1ES2344+514. 1ES2344+514 was detected very recently by Whipple Cherenkov telescope as the third TeV blazar. In the 1994 and 1995 campaign of Mkn421, the first TeV blazar, we detected flares at both the keV X-ray and TeV gamma ray bands with similar amplitude. Flux at other wavelength remained relatively steady. This suggests that both keV and TeV spectral regimes are produced by the same, most energetic end of the electron population, radiating via the synchrotron process in the keV and Compton (most likely SSC) process in the TeV bands. X-ray observation is crucial to understand the emission from 1ES2344+514. Because of the high time variability, we propose the coordinated multi-band observation from Radio, Optical, X-ray to TeV gamma-ray .
