OBSERVATION OF STAR FORMING REGION CHAMAELEON III
ABSTRACT
Chamaeleon cloud is one of the star forming region, which consists of three dark clouds,Cha I ,Cha II and Cha III. So far We made observation of Cha I and Cha II,we detect 28 and 8 pre-main-sequence (PMS) stars from Cha I,II respectively. They contain at least 3 class I stars in Cha I, but no class I stars are detected in Cha II. An average of luminosity is almost even, but that of Cha II is a little smaller than Cha I. Now we thought magnetic activity of PMS star is origin of X-ray,how about Cha III? So we propose a observation of Cha III. Comparing with Cha I and II, we can get further knowledge of PMS stars. Moreover, there could be some protostars, detection of them give us precious information. Observation of Cha III enable us to reveal evolution of PMS stars.
