SEARCHING FOR THE ACTIVITY DECLINE OF NUCLEUS IN THE RADIO GALAXY IC 2476
ABSTRACT
The large double radio source IC 2476 was observed with VLA, and no radio core was detected at the center of the host galaxy. Therefore IC 2476 is a possible example of an object whose central engine has ceased its activity, though whose extended lobes have not yet been cooled. However there is another possibility that the core of IC 2476 is absorbed heavily. To examine these hypotheses, we propose an ASCA observation of IC 2476.
