EVOLUTION OF HOT GAS AROUND EARLY-TYPE GALAXY
ABSTRACT
It is well known that a luminous early type galaxy has hot halo surrounding the galaxy. To explain a total amount of hot gas and energy source, many evolutionaly sequence for the gas flows are proposed. According to the sequence by Ciotti et al. 1991, elliptical galaxy would pass through initial wind phase. In order to examine the existence of wind phase, we will propose to observe the prototypical merger remnant NGC 7252, the Atoms-for Peace galaxy. This galaxy is considered to move to an eraly type galaxy. This observation have an impact for chemical evolution of intracluster medium.
