MEASURING THE MASS ACCRETION RATE OF THE MEGAMASER SOURCE NGC 5793
ABSTRACT
We propose an ASCA observation of the megamaser source NGC 5793. The source exhibits Dopller shifted H2O maser lines with the NRO 45-m, which shows existence of a heavy galactic nucleus. The mass is estimated to be heavier than 1.5E8 times solar-mass (Hagiwara et al. 1997). We proposed to measure the AGN emission and to determine the mass accretion rate of the galactic nucleus. It is expected that the results reveals a descendant of quasars.
