X-RAY SPECTRAL EVOLUTION OF LOW-MASS PRE-MAIN-SEQUENCE STAR'S FLARES

ABSTRACT

In six observations of RCrA star forming region during five years (1996 - 1998), we detect six flares including protostar and classical T-Tauri stars. Adding the other region's flares ever detected with ASCA, we find a sign that young stellar flares have higher plasma temperature and stronger magnetic field by using the formula of magnetic reconnection shown by Shibata et al., (1999). It may indicate the dissipation of magnetic field compressed from interstellar cloud. In order to clarify these tendency, we propose long time observation to detect more X-ray flares from stars with each evolutional phase. Long time observation will also reveal the relation with the magnetic activity and the accretion mechanism.
