SOFT AND HARD COMPONENT IN NLS1 / PG1404+226
ABSTRACT
X-ray properties of the narrow line Seyfert 1 (NLS1) galaxies are characterized with a enhanced soft component and rapid variability. We propose to observe the NLS1 source PG1404+226 for 400ksec(about 10 days duration), which has a distinctive soft component next to IRAS13224, but with the variability time scale much longer than IRAS13224. We focus on the variability of the soft and the hard component, and the time lag between them, in order toreveal/constrain the emission mechanism of these two components in NLS1s.
