Databases of Astro-Dcatalogs and derived data products will be created
as part of a pipeline analysis process. The products and catalogs will
be in FITS format and conform to HEASARC standards currently
being defined for ROSAT and other earlier missions. If new data file
structures are required, they will be defined in consultation with the
HEASARC. The data products are intended to provide an overview of
each observation. Since they are not essential for the initial analysis
and may be subject to calibration modifications, they may be
produced and distributed later after the calibrations have become
well understood.
The catalogs will include:
- a proposal database,
- planned and completed observations,
- the data logs, and
- a list of sources detected above a certain threshold. (The lower
the threshold, the harder to find sources automatically. We shall
determine the threshold during the initial calibration and verification
phase of the mission.)
For each observation the following will be produced:
- images in various energy bands and hardness maps,
- exposure maps, and
- background maps.
For each detected source above the threshold the following will be
produced:
- a cross-correlation against existing catalogs,
- a PHA spectrum (one each for the four detectors, integrated
over the whole observation).
- the light curve during the observation in the same energy
bands as the images, and
- the results of a simple timing and spectral analysis.
