FTOOLS: The VELA 5B Sub-package

The VELA 5B sub-package of FTOOLS contains mission-specific tasks for the VELA 5B mission.

The following VELA 5B tasks were released in the latest distribution of the HEASARC's FTOOLS package. Each task is hyperlinked to the help file distributed with the task. The same information can be obtained while running FTOOLS by typing the command fhelp {taskname}.

VELA 5B Tasks

fvelalc
Creates a FITS light curve for an isolated Vela 5B source
fvelmap
Creates a set of FITS source maps of a rectangular region
fvelgallc
Creates multiple light curves for sources in confused fields
velabox
Lists the Vela 5B raw data files needed for FVELALC
velamap
Lists the Vela 5B raw data files needed for FVELMAP
