Suzaku Guest Observer Facility

Status of Suzaku

Dear Suzaku users,

Around 19h on 16 January 2014, Suzaku attitude control system turned to the safe hold mode due to low battery voltage. After about 50000 charge/discharge cycles, batteries are degraded as it should be. We are trying to bring back the spacecraft to observation very carefully. We will let you know the status soon again.

Best regards,

Kazuhisa Mitsuda, Suzaku project manager
and the Suzaku operation team
