Suzaku Guest Observer Facility

Suzaku Cycle 4 Closed

December 8, 2008

Suzaku Cycle 4 (Stage 1) is now closed.

We have received 99 valid submissions to NASA requesting 23.9 Msec of observations. Of these, two were multi-year Key Project proposals. The remaining single-year (Long Program and Regular) proposals represent an oversubscription of 4.1 for the non-Key Project time available to the US community. The oversubscription factor has increased from Cycle 3 (3.5), even though the total number of proposals has gone done (from 120).

Following the US review and the international merging meeting, we anticipate the accepted target list will be published during March, 2009.

If you are a US-based researcher who is interested in participating in the US peer review of Suzaku observing proposals, please contact us using the feedback form link below.
