Suzaku Guest Observer Facility

Suzaku Guest Observer Data Distiribution Has Started

June 27, 2006

ISAS/JAXA and NASA/GSFC have started version 1 processing and distribution of guest observer data. As of June 27, 2006, all guest observer data taken before the end of April 2006 have been processed with the exception of one sequence, which was affected by an on-board data recorder glitch, that requires a minor upgrade of the processing software. All PIs with observations by the end of April should have received a notification either from ISAS or from GSFC. Processing of more recent data are in progress.

For the details of processing, including the limitations of the current version, please consult our Processing page. Please note that the Suzaku team are currently working on a major upgrade of the processing software suite to resolve many of the outstanding issues, and reprocessing of all GO data is planned in the near future. Please also consult our data analysis page, which will be fleshed out over the coming weeks and months. There is also a parallel page maintained at ISAS/JAXA.
