Suzaku Guest Observer Facility

Mission Phases

Following the loss of XRS cryogen, the Suzaku mission phases have been redefined as follows.

  • Phase 0 (2005 July & 2005 August), for initial operation and in-orbit checkout.
  • Phase I (2005 September - 2006 March), when the observing time belongs exclusively to the Suzaku Science Working Group (SWG).
  • Phase II (2006 April - end of mission), when the observing time is open to the astronomical community world-wide.

We anticipate proposals will be solicited and selected on an annual basis during Phase II.
