select expref

Selects events based on exposure ID (Swift UVOT specific).

Syntax:

xsel> select expref <exprefsel>

where exprefsel is a string of exposure specifiers given as numbers (1-99). This command extracts events for the exposure(s) into a new file and appends the appropriate GTI. If only one exposure is selected the GTI for the exposure is copied, if not the relevant GTIs are merged. Exposure specifiers should be separated by a space or a comma. This command also finds the minimum and maximum sky coordinates for the window used in the exposure sets the XYCENTER/XYSIZE appropriately.

Examples:

xsel> select expref 4
