34-channel ROSAT PSPC response matrices available at the OGIP CALDB
34 channel ROSAT PSPC detector redistribution matrices available
****************************************************************
The following 34-channel detector redistribution & response matrices
have been delivered to and installed in the OGIP CALDB:
34 PI channel detector redistribution matrices
----------------------------------------------
/caldb/data/rosat/pspc/cpf/matrices/pspcb_gain1_34.rmf
pspcb_gain2_34.rmf
pspcc_gain1_34.rmf
On-axis 34 PI channel response matrices (including the on-axis effective areas)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
/caldb/data/rosat/pspc/cpf/matrices/pspcb_gain1_34.rsp
pspcb_gain2_34.rsp
pspcc_gain1_34.rsp
Please note that NONE of the matrices represent any improvement of the
PSPC spectral calibration, and are simply (appropriately) compressed
versions of the 256-channel matrices announced last week.
Further details on the new naming scheme etc can be found in
/caldb/data/rosat/pspc/cpf/matrices/README
The ROSAT GOF will/may be announcing these changes to all ROSAT GOs via a
ROSAT Status Report in the near future.
