Lorella Angelini is currently a research scientist with the University Research Space Association. She joined the HEASARC in 1991, and is responsible for the EXOSAT archival data, the XIMAGE and XRONOS software packages. Her research interests are the timing and spectral properties of galactic X-ray sources. She also investigates pre-main sequence stars.

From February to December 1986, she worked as observatory controller at the EXOSAT Observatory at ESOC/ESA in Darmstadt, Germany. She was a Research Fellow and Duty Scientist form 1987 until 1991 at ESTEC/ESA in Noordwijk, The Netherlands.
