Abstract:

This document provides information on how to use the MAPGEN program. Section 1 contains a general description of the program. Section 2 lists the steps to execute the program. The program I/O interface is described in section 3. Error handling is explained in section 4.

This manual has been updated from the User's Guide document originally written on the IBM 3081. The IBM MAPGEN program was ported to the EGRET Sun workstations and has undergone a number of modifications and enhancements. Later, the user interface software package on the Sun has changed from Xdialog to XView. This document thus applies to the Sun version of the MAPGEN program.
