Mission Information and Planning System (MIPS)

     

The mission information and planning system (MIPS) is an on-line information retrieval system (on a VAX computer, see address header) devised for ROSAT guest observers. MIPS contains software tools to: 

- calculate target viewing windows, to precess coordinates, 
  estimate source count rates, ...
- mission, proposal, and investigator information
- bulletin board for ROSAT news and events 
- proposal generation and submission software
- downloading archival data via ARMS
