3.4 Spectral Property of the PSPC

 

The energy resolution of the PSPC approaches that of a single wire proportional counter, i.e., tex2html_wrap_inline16849 (FWHM) over the entire sensitive area of the detector.    The spectral resolution   measured with the on-board calibration source  is 27% FWHM at 1.5keV.
