Resolve Energy Scale Quality Reports

Energy assignment of XRISM Resolve commissioning, early calibration, and PV phase data generally rely on a calibration methodology that utilized illumination of the entire array with the MnKa feature emitted by the Filter Wheel (FW) Fe55 sources. The energy scale reconstruction proceeds by constructing a time-dependent gain drift correction, or gain history. The resulting energy scale accuracy depends on the frequency and timing (relative to ADR recycles, SAA passages, etc.) of these fiducial measurements, and varied over the course of the early mission.

The energy assignment quality may be assessed by applying the gain history to the Fe55 data itself, and fitting the resulting spectra and evaluating the results (shift and width, where the latter is compared to the expected energy resolution). The reports include such assessments for each OBSID derived from data in the current trend archive. A complete description of the contents and their diagnostic utilization is included in each report. These reports are updated periodically.

The following sequences failed to generate reports: 000104200, 000111000, 000117000, 000112000, 000133000, 000153300, 000153200, 100011010, 100006010, 100011012, 100011011, 100009010, and 100017010.

Sequences 000104200, 100011010, 100011012, and 100011011 are missing either .evt or .ghf files and therefore cannot produce an energy scale quality report. The cause of the other failed reports is still under investigation.

Feedback is welcome and may be delivered to the XRISM SDC help desk.
