HEAO-1 Software: Example 2 - Extracting a Scan Profile
Using dsdlcurve
Run the task DSDLCURVE. This tool accumulates scanning data available
in the vicinity of a given object's position. Data is accumulated for
25 degrees of scan angle during times when the source is in the
experiment's field of view (FOV). Normally data is taken from the 1.5
x 3.0 degree FOV of the MED and HED3 detectors (raw scanning data file
dsdisk_15.raw), but data are also available for the 3.0 x 3.0 degree
FOV (raw scanning data file dsdisk_30.raw).

The discovery scalar modes changed throught the mission.
The following table gives the standard weights for
the 6 discovery scalar scanning modes. Each mode
possessed 8 different X-ray colors & anti-coincidence
coefficient, thus a total of 9 weights are available.
