Just apply the following init_isdc.osa5 script to use the software on the GSFC system.
15.04.05 The INTEGRAL software version OSA 5-beta has been installed under /data/tgrosf3/beckmann/osa_sw-20050315
This version is not the final OSA 5.0, but it includes the changes done up to March 15, plus the latest ii_skyimage 4.4 and spiskymax 31. Just apply the following init_isdc.osa5beta script to use the software on the GSFC system. It includes SPIROS 9.1 but you should use our latest version of SPIROS 9.2, which you find under /data/tgrosf3/beckmann/new_software/spiros9v2/spiros
To use it, set a symbolic link in your ~/bin/ directory:
ln -s /data/tgrosf3/beckmann/new_software/spiros9v2/spiros
11.04.05 Again a new version of SPIROS is available, which should fix some of the long outstanding issues. You find SPIROS 9.2 under /data/tgrosf3/beckmann/new_software/spiros9v2/spiros
To use it, set a symbolic link in your ~/bin/ directory:
ln -s /data/tgrosf3/beckmann/new_software/spiros9v2/spiros
01.01.05 The INTEGRAL software version OSA 4.2 has been installed under /data/anu/isdc/osa_sw-4.2/i686-pc-linux-gnu/gcc-3.2.2
Just apply the following init_isdc.osa4.2 script to use the software on the GSFC system. It includes SPIROS 8.1 but you might want to use our latest (working) version of SPIROS 8.2.a, which you find under /data/tgrosf3/beckmann/osa_sw-20040206/bin/spiros
To use it, set a link in your ~/bin/ directory:
ln -s /data/tgrosf3/beckmann/osa_sw-20040206/bin/spiros
04.11.04 The IRFs for data after revolution 214 (detector 17 failure) are available for testing: /data/tgrosf3/beckmann/IRF/IRF_November2004/spi_irf_grp_0017.fits
At the ISDC you find the IRFs under: /isdc/scratch-pc7/shrader/IRFs/spi_irf_grp_0017.fits
29.10.04 Dead line for INTEGRAL AO-3 proposals: Friday 29 October 2004, 15:00 CEST (that is at 9 a.m. EDT the same day). The proposal generation tool has been installed here at EUD; you can start it by typing
/data/tgrosf3/beckmann/PGT/pgt
30.09.04 The INTEGRAL software version OSA 4.1 has been installed under /data/anu/isdc/osa_sw-4.1/i686-pc-linux-gnu/gcc-3.2.2
Just apply the following init_isdc.osa4.1 script to use the software on the GSFC system. It includes SPIROS 8.1 but you might want to use our latest version of SPIROS 8.2.a, which you find under /data/tgrosf3/beckmann/osa_sw-20040206/bin/spiros
To use it, set a link in your ~/bin/ directory:
ln -s /data/tgrosf3/beckmann/osa_sw-20040206/bin/spiros
02.08.04 The INTEGRAL software version OSA 4.0 has been installed under /data/anu/isdc/osa_sw-4.0/i686-pc-linux-gnu/gcc-3.2.2
Just apply the following init_isdc.osa4.0 script to use the software on the GSFC system. It includes SPIROS 8.1 (you might want to remove links to previous versions under your ~/bin directory). You need to update your parameter files (especially spi_obs_*.par, spi_clean.par, ii_*.par).
28.07.04 Concerning data after revolution 214: Since detector #17 and #2 are not operational anymore, you should exclude it from the analysis in the GTI step already. When analysing also double and triple events, avoid the events including detectors #17 and #2 by using the following detector subset (det_id): 0,1,3-16,18,19,21-24,26-29,34-44,46,48-58,63-66,68-70,74-79,81,83
You need to use a new reponse (IRF), which is also available now.
21.06.03 SPIROS 8.0.a test version installed at GSFC. To use it, set a link in your ~/bin/ directory:
ln -s /data/tgrosf3/beckmann/osa_sw-20040206/analysis-sw/spi/spiros8v0va/spiros
18.06.03 The new RMF to be used on SPIROS spectra for data after revolution 140 is available now. Look on the IRF and RMF page. Remember that the new RMF has to be used together with the new IRF (spi_irf_grp_0016.fits)
18.05.03 spiros 7.0 installed here at NASA/GSFC. The new IRFs are available for testing: /data/tgrosf3/beckmann/IRF/IRF_May2004/spi_irf_grp_0016.fits
At the ISDC you find the IRFs under: /isdc/isdc_tst/for_spi/IRFs/spi_irf_grp_0016.fits
11.05.04 The next SPI annealing will take place from the end of revolution 204 until revolution 209.
There are two new FAQs with answers available: "How to copy a subset of INTEGRAL data" and "How to extract ISGRI spectra from the mosaic"
01.04.04 The updated software OSA-20040206 version has been installed under /data/tgrosf3/beckmann/osa_sw-20040206
Just apply the following init_isdc.osa_feb04 script to use the software on the GSFC system. To run the new script spi_science_analysis_2 at GSFC, you need an updated spi_science_analysis_2.par parameter file.
09.01.04 There is a serious problem in the OSA 3.0 SPI software. This may result in an apparently reasonable result, which is nonetheless meaningless. Read more about it! spihist 3.1.2 solves this problem and is available internally at NASA/GSFC and through the ISDC system.
08.01.04 Concerning data after revolution 140: Since detector #2 is not operational anymore, you should exclude it from the analysis in the GTI step already. When analysing also double and triple events, avoid the events including detector #2 by using the following detector subset (det_id): 0,1,3-19,21-24,26-29,34-60,63-66,68-70,74-84
You need to use also a new reponse, which is currently locally available under /data/tgrosf3/beckmann/IRF/IRF_May2004/spi_irf_grp_0016.fits
Note however that the response for use in XSPEC is not available yet.
16.12.03 New repository for the consolidated data at GSFC:
/INTEGRAL1/test/consolidated01/
10.12.03 spiros 6.0.d installed here at NASA/GSFC.
08.12.03 spiaddobs 6.0.20 installed. spidead 2.3 delivered.
20.11.03 spiros 6.0.c installed.
14.11.03 spigti 3.3 has been delivered. It solves several SPRs concerning memory leaks. spirmf 1.5 has been delivered. It is consistent with the also delivered IC file spi_rmf_grp_0001.fits, which is the response matrix to be used with SPIROS output spectra (see this page).
30.10.03 spiros 6.0.a is available internally and right now being tested.
01.10.03 Installation of these pages.
